Eric's Biography
Fleeing the horrific war-torn reveloution and mother being with child, Eric' s parents moved back to the United States of America from Caracas Venezuela. Eric was then born on Christmas Day in Mobile, Alabama. He performed with the United States Air Force Band in Tampa, Fl. on trumpet, guitar and electric bass entertaining world famous dignitaries and TV and movie personalities and backing up celebrities such as Anita Bryant. In Miami, Florida he was on the same billing as the Cowsills (Partridge Family starring David Cassidy) and host Peter Marshall of Hollywood Squares fame.
Eric has done radio and TV commercials, national as well as local. He was commisioned by local blues artists to notate lead sheets to be sent to B.B. King's producer/manager for research purposes.
He also appears along with songwriter/performer/creative genius Jerry Powell on the award winning song "Bodine Brown" on the nationally famous Dr. Demento's album "Demento's Mementos".
Almost of Eric's performances are at private functions. He and his wife Karin perform at various venues on classical guitar & harp, or doing Pop Music using various instruments and playing everything from Easy Listening & Light Rock to Jazz, Latin and origional songs.
In addition, he is one of a trio of wild, zany, nutty entertainers known as the Cleverlys. They perform throughout the Southeast for various corporate groups as an after-dinner comedy, variety act which includes music, magic and ventriloquism.
Aside from preparing a TV show for cable, "Off The Beaten Path", The Cleverlys also made a cameo appearance in the movie "West From North Goes South" starring Phyllis Diller, Tina Louise (Gilligan's Island), Larry Linnville (M*A*S*H*), La Wanda Page (Sanford and Sons).
Eric's musical style is eclectic and spans from classical to jazz to pop.
Eric is also associated with the following organizations: BMI, ISHFC, NMTA (National Music Teachers Association), AMTA, BCMTA, NAAV, Schumann Club,and registered with the Better Business Bureau.
