Description
Uniquely situated in a dramatic clifftop position with spectacular views over Bridlington and set in 50 acres of early 19th Century parkland, Sewerby Hall and Gardens offers something for everyone, from the magnificent gardens to the deep rooted heritage of the house.
Take a trip back to the early 1900s to see how the house would have looked. The exciting exhibition and events programme has something for the whole family. The Grade One listed House has been restored to its former glory as the family home of the Lloyd Greames, circa 1910, and has been furnished with exquisite items from the national collection at the Victoria and Albert Museum as well as items from significant local collections. At the same time, we have incorporated modern ideas regarding accessibility and interpretation into a traditional setting, creating a working ‘Edwardian’ kitchen, live interpretation and handling collections to allow visitors to interact more fully with the displays.
