We’re housed in a beautifully renovated 18th Century Coaching Inn, with views across open countryside in the pretty North Yorkshire village of Ferrensby. To accompany your meal we have a wonderful wine cellar, many vintages often available by the glass and often at prices you will find surprisingly affordable. Our fabulous cocktail lounge is the perfect place to meet family and friends for a pre-dinner drink or coffee and liqueurs afterwards. With sumptuous chairs and sofas, and a welcoming log fire for the chilly evenings, you may find it hard to leave.

We have 13 stylish bedrooms, each individually decorated and appointed to the highest of standards, with little touches of luxury and comfort for a truly relaxing night. Award winning and highly regarded chef John Topham is the creative force behind the meticulously prepared dishes we offer. John leads a team of dedicated catering professionals, striving always to produce dishes that appeal to the eye and excite the palate. To achieve that goal John insists that all food is prepared with the best available ingredients.
We are proud of the provenance of our ingredients and have for many years worked with local suppliers to source only the highest quality, fresh and ready-for-market produce. This is reflected in the seasonality of our menu, which changes daily to reflect the best of what is available that day. As you can see from our list of food heroes, we choose only those suppliers who work in a way that meets the exacting standards we demand. We believe it is the only way to serve you with food that tastes divine.
Your Restaurant With Rooms in Yorkshire
We have 13 luxuriously appointed five-star bedrooms, each individually decorated. Special touches include Molton Brown products, complementary wi-fi, tasty home-made biscuits from our own kitchen, tea and coffee making facilities and flat-screen TV. There are six ground floor bedrooms for guests with mobility considerations. Smoking is not allowed in any of our bedrooms.

Private Dining
Above our fabulous cocktail lounge, over the old stables, is our galleried private dining and meeting room, appropriately called The Rafters. With exposed beams and views across adjacent fields it is a splendid place for gatherings of friends, family or colleagues. It is perfect for business meetings, training events, celebrations or a discreet dinner party. We can accommodate up to 32 guests.
Menus can be created specifically for your tastes and the room tailored to fit your requirements.

For prices that are surprisingly affordable, you, your family, friends or colleagues, can enjoy a fantastic private dining experience including a three-course dinner created by award winning chef John Topham, wines from an enviable list, cocktails, coffee and liqueurs from the cocktail bar, service that is attentive, discreet and professional followed by a wonderful night’s sleep in our beautifully appointed bedrooms. Our five star bedrooms can cater for 26 guests.

For the special price of £2,500 you can book all thirteen of our five star bedrooms and host your dinner in a private room for 26 guests. Some Saturday nights are available for £3,000. The price includes a three course dinner, bed and full Yorkshire breakfast and is subject to availability.
