Discover the Peak District

From pretty moorland, rolling hills and dales to scented meadows and leafy forests, the Peak District is home to some of the country’s finest scenery – deservedly designated as Britain’s first National Park! As well as natural wonders, the area is steeped with culture and award-winning attractions, from historic houses to world-class theme parks such as Alton Towers, and some of the finest restaurants in the country.

Located at the southern end of the Pennines, the Peak District falls mostly in Derbyshire, though it extends into Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Staffordshire, West Yorkshire and South Yorkshire, bordering on the Yorkshire cities of Sheffield and Huddersfield.
