Getting to Northallerton by Train

Northallerton is easily accessible on the east coast mainline by train, though it should be noted that not all services on this busy line will stop at Northallerton (a lot of express trains will pass through) which does mean you need to check your timetable, and ideally book a ticket in advance to be sure of an easy passage to and from Northallerton.

The station is very handy for the town, though, and there is a taxi rank which is usually well served by taxis who can take you to your accommodation for a reasonable fee.
